The Aberdeen City Council are inviting views on its introduction of traffic management measures which aim to establish a priority route for buses, whilst maintaining access for pedal cycles, taxis, goods vehicles and authorised vehicles.
As the Council considers whether the measures introduced under experimental orders this summer should continue indefinitely, they are looking for views on the bus lanes and gates, speed limits and one-way systems now operating on certain roads in Aberdeen.
The measures seeks to enhance bus reliability and travel time, thereby encouraging bus services as a sustainable transport option. Similarly, the removal of general through traffic from the roads concerned will establish an improved environment for pedestrians and cyclists, while facilitating future streetscape improvements.
You can submit your views until 23rd January 2024.
