Moving the Vote: transport conversations with Scottish LabourDate: 26 March 2021 Location: Online Organised by: Transform Scotland
In advance of May’s Scottish Parliament elections, we are hosting a series of online events to provide our members, the wider transport sector, and members of the public with the opportunity to engage with representatives of the main political parties in Scotland. A representative from each of the five main political parties in Scotland will outline their party’s vision for sustainable transport should they be elected and then allow delegates the opportunity to ask questions on key transport issues.
We’re delighted to be working with Alastair Dalton, Transport Correspondent for The Scotsman/Scotland on Sunday, who will be chairing the events. We’ll also be joined by experts from within Transform’s membership who will be available to join in the discussion.
The next event will be held on Friday 26 March from 13:00-14:00 when we welcome Sarah Boyack MSP from the Scottish Labour Party. Sarah is the former Minister for Transport and Planning and currently is a member of the Cross Party Group on Cycling, Walking, and Buses, and the Cross Party Group on Rail.
The events are open to the public and free to attend. We will share the Eventbrite page for this event following the event with the Liberal Democrats on Thursday 11 March.
We will be sharing the other events with the Greens, Labour, and the SNP shortly so please check our website or social media for more information on those events.
