CoMoUK are hosting a webinar on ‘Pedalling a Green Recovery: Scotland’s Bike Share and a Greener Future’ on Thursday 29 September, at 14:00.
The event will look at how optimizing bike share opportunities in Scotland can contribute to a green recovery as well as giving health benefits.
The speakers will be:
- Cllr Anna Richardson of Glasgow City Council will be discussing the city’s free bike share initiative and talking about the vision to transform Glasgow’s cycling and walking networks.
- Oliver O’Brien of University College London and European Editor of the Bike Share Map will give an overview of the big data trends in bike share and the opportunities and challenges this presents for a greener transport recovery.
- Shirley Paterson from Forth Environment Link will share her insights about the UK’s first school bike share scheme.
- Tim Hughes from Dunblane Community E-bike Loan Scheme will share a community’s approach to running a bike share scheme and reflections on the future of its expansion.
