#lovemybus campaign at COP26

29 October 2021

FacebookTweetEmailLinkedIn

Ahead of COP26, #lovemybus are delighted to share a new Guest Blog from the Transport Minister, Graeme Day MSP and new climate resources – including evidence from Chris Cheek, blogs from our Champions looking ahead to COP26 and sharing their vision of bus. Please find this at www.lovemybus.scot/climate

We are also launching our new pages to download assets to share your own love of bus!

Please do share these widely and join the revolution to support and choose bus whenever we can for our health, planet, economy and a fairer Scotland. www.lovemybus.scot

And finally, and by no means least – we are very excited to share our new film which is featured on the website and you will be able to download yourself too – in a one min or 3 min version. This was filmed by Andy Smith, one of our fabulous creative team who collaborated with our lead illustrator Tom Holmes to produce the final film that features Glasgow in November with quotes inspired by our Champions to promote all the benefits of bus.

View and share this from the website or link directly here: https://player.vimeo.com/video/639903414?h=2ec5e05803

We will be launching the blog with all these fantastic resources this afternoon – and would greatly value your promotion of the materials today and over the next few weeks. We would encourage you to use the assets in your own communications around bus with #lovemybus and if you choose – #WalkCycleBus, #ChooseBus #ClimateAction and #COP26.

Hope you are all as inspired as us by the magnificent fleet of iconic electric buses for COP26, made here in Scotland by ADL in Falkirk and being run by First Glasgow throughout the Conference – this fulfils a recommendation from the Just Transition Commission last summer, just transition in action!

We are grateful to all our funders, Paths for All, First Bus, GlasGo Alliance and supporters for all our work which is inspiring engagement and action on bus for the climate and so much more.

Come and visit us at COP26 where we will be exhibiting at the exciting #TogetherForOurPlanet Zone at First Bus, Caledonian Depot – accessible via electric Shuttle Bus from St Vincent Street and doing pop up engagements at Buchanan Street Bus Station.
