We’ve just published our annual report, which reflects on our work and activities for the year 2025/26.
Over the last 12 months we have focused on:
- Sustainable freight
- Fleet investment
- Tackling inequalities in transport
Our report also features important progress made in championing people-first streets and carrying out our Love My Bus youth programme. In the coming months, we’ll be focusing on tackling car dependency and bringing new momentum to the A Wee Walk Works Wonders campaign.
George Lowder MBE, Chair of Transform Scotland, notes:
“Some of the highlights this year include having Transform’s ideas and priorities included in party manifestos ahead of the Holyrood Elections in May 2026. We look forward to maintaining our dialogue on these with the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Transport.
We helped enable and contributed to the Cross Party Group (CPG) on freight and the policy debate around this matter. In June we convened and chaired a successful rail fleet renewal event that was very well attended and supported by key representatives from across the heavy rail sector. The resulting discussion paper is insightful and should help shape future rail investment conversations.
Most recently The Director has given evidence to the Holyrood Transport Committee on the introduction of £2.00 bus fare cap and we have worked hard with Partners to try to influence the City of Edinburgh Council decisions on the proposals for the north south tram line, from Granton to the Bioquarter.”
