Celebrating 10 years of Transform Creative – A Q&A with our team

4 March 2025

Our social enterprise design agency Transform Creative is turning 10! Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of working on meaningful projects that make a difference.

To celebrate, we asked our team to share their favourite Transform Creative moments – here’s what they had to say:

Q. What’s been your favourite project at Transform Creative?

Ana: I really enjoyed working with a startup ‘GOES foundation‘ who campaign for reducing use of chemicals which are killing our marine wildlife, most importantly plankton. The founders were experienced marine biologists who knew the science but needed help crafting their message to engage people and start building a coalition needed to tackle this problem. I love the visuals that came out of this project because we got to work with beautiful high-res photographs of plankton. Definitely not something you see every day!

Andy: For me, it’s the Environmental Port Index. Travelling to Norway to meet the team was a fantastic experience, and working together on something so important for the health of our planet was truly rewarding. The best part was that everyone was on the same page, pulling in the same direction and trusting each other—when that happens, great things can be achieved!

Pete: Scottish Community Alliance. This recent project – a website that will help SCA showcase the way it is building resilient and empowered communities – felt like a true collaboration between Transform Creative and the client.  During a very politically and socially polarised time, it’s great to work with an organisation that is focussed wholly on bringing people together.

Julianne: I really enjoyed working on A Wee Walk Works Wonders! The characters and messaging were really fun to develop with the team, and walking is one of my favourite activities, so I was very happy to encourage others to enjoy it too.

Colin: Two days of photography for SPT in the Glasgow and Inverclyde areas – collating a set of attractive and upbeat but realistic set of pictures of people using SPT transport for their range of print and digital media.

Q. What’s the best thing about working at Transform Creative?

Ana: Collaborating with my fellow ‘transform creatives’ – different projects call for a different mix of skills and I’m always looking forward to seeing how we inspire and push each other to create better work.

Andy: The people here are driven by such positive values—both professionally, with a passion for great creative work, and morally, with a real commitment to making a meaningful difference in the world.

Pete: The opportunity to team up with like-minded creatives to work on projects that will bring tangible benefits to Scotland and the wider world.

Julianne: As a freelancer it’s good to be able to come together with other creatives to form a team – sharing inspiration and ideas together always makes a project come to life!

Emily: The people and the reason the organisation exists, it feels great to be working on design for an organisation that is so passionate about making Scotland a better place to live and travel around!

Colin: Working with a group of like-minded friendly talented people who share similar values on sustainability, the environment and social justice.

Q. How would you describe Transform Creative in three words?

Ana: Vibrant creative community

Andy: Proactive, supportive, maestros

Pete: Designing social change

Julianne: Imaginative, colourful, impactful!

Emily: Passionate, fun and positive

Colin: Creative, dynamic, ethical

As we celebrate 10 years, we’re grateful for our talented team and amazing clients.
