Transform Scotland’s Policy and Communications Officer, Laura Hyde-White, reports on our recent silver anniversary celebrations.

25 Years: The Celebration

We were pleased to celebrate Transform’s 25 year history in the company of our members and supporters at the Grassmarket Community Centre in Edinburgh. The evening, amongst other things, included:

  • The launch of our new campaign priorities and new website
  • Good food and drink in excellent company, all the more precious as online meetings become the new normal
  • Transport-related fun, including transport-themed bingo and quiz — test your transport trivia in the quiz at the end of this page
  • Prizes, speeches and general celebration of 25 years of transforming Scotland

Despite some questionable silver fashion choices, the night was a success, bringing the sustainable transport community together and provoking conversations about what’s next for Transform Scotland.

25 Years: The History

As a sustainable transport campaigning charity, we tend to prioritise looking ahead and making positive changes for the future. Yet, our 25th anniversary offers an opportunity to look backwards and ask: what have we achieved and how far have we come?

By delving into our archives and reflecting on our work, it becomes evident how we have shaped the sustainable transport landscape in Scotland and how we can continue to do so.

Follow the timeline of Transform Scotland from its early days to its future plans in the presentation below.
