Social Enterprise Successes
Published 04 November 2015 by LottiBoth of our social enterprises, TRAC and Transform Creative, have been very busy.
The Sustrans 3-Year Report was a joint venture between TRAC and Transform Creative. TRAC prepared a series of case studies showing Sustrans’ work with schools, with communities, at workplaces, and with its many partner organisations. TRAC also prepared the messaging around Sustrans’ impacts in multiple policy areas (e.g. transport, health, economy, climate change, place-making), and the great value that its work delivers. Transform Creative were responsible for delivering all of the graphic design and much of the photography contained within the report, and well as all of the copy-writing. They have also produced a ‘z-card’ summary document.
TRAC has also been working with the University of Edinburgh and EUSA to develop the Edinburgh Bike Loan Project at Pollock Halls. TRAC provided expertise in project management, business planning, monitoring and evaluation to help to launch a new bike hire scheme for students. The bike hire scheme is part of Cycling Scotland’s new Cycle Friendly Campus Award. The bike hire scheme aimed to test innovative ways of encouraging and supporting cycling amongst students.
Transform Creative designed the branding for Edinburgh’s first social enterprise pub, the Southside Social. They have also been working with Social Enterprise Scotland, Sustainable Scotland Network, and NIDOS, among others. They have received a new commission from Sustrans which will be starting soon. While Transform Creative are working on some large projects they still welcome enquiries and further commissions. Their expert team consists of professionals in the field of graphic design, web design, illustration, photography, and digital communications, as well as campaigning and public affairs.
